A Message from the Treasurer
Hello, I would like to inform you of the opportunity to participate in the 2016 Law Enforcement Challenge presented by the Hartford Police Union in collaboration with the Hartford Police Benevolent Association, Hartford Police Hispanic Officers Association, Hartford Police Guardians, Hartford Police Emerald Society and the Hartford Police Italian Officer Association, to honor retired and active law enforcement personnel. A portion of the proceeds from the 2016 Law Enforcement Challenge will be donated to a Scholarship Fund for deserving high school students in the Hartford School System looking to further their education in college. I hope that this goal will challenge others to assist in supporting high school students in pursuing their dream of obtaining a college degree. We have provided a number of options for you, your company or your organization to participate or contribute in recognition of those who on a daily basis place themselves in harm’s way. This event is being held at Golf Club of Avon, which is a private Country Club located in Avon, CT. For non-golfers, I urge you to attend the post-tournament reception for the opportunity to mingle with your peers and supporters.
Thank you for your anticipated support.

I am proud to say that the President of Food Share , Gloria McAdam, was extremely pleased with our donation of $800.00 dollars to help feed needy families in the Hartford area this thanksgiving holiday. She stated “We often find that police officers are very generous when it comes to hunger issues because they are out in the community everyday and see the real needs, Thank you so much to everyone in the Hartford Police Union”!
Barry Square Community Day
The Hartford Police Union was a Major sponsor for MARG’s “Barry Square Community day”.
For the past three years the Hartford Police Union has partnered with MARG (Maple Avenue Revitalization Group) and on 8/18/13 put on another successful event for the Community. The event Coordinator Hyacinth Yen-nie was very grateful for the continued support of the HPU. She stated “We could not have put this event on without the help of the Hartford Police Union.”
The Union sponsored the event by providing its grill, food, volunteers and the Amber Alert tent which regis-tered over 179 kids in the south end during the 4 hour event. We hope to continue this long standing tradition with MARG in giving back to the community.
Hartford’s Camp Courant
President Rich Holton presents a check to Josh Reese, Executive Director of Hartford’s Camp Courant.
The Hartford Police Union is sponsoring 20 Hartford youths to attend Camp Courant this summer.
